Tu Lucha was founded on a simple belief:
Everyone deserves a fighting chance.
The name Tu Lucha comes from the Spanish phrase "Tu Lucha es Mi Lucha" which translates to "Your fight is my fight." It reflects our belief that when communities come together, opportunity can change lives.
Founded by Steven Nigro and Jin Bae, Tu Lucha creates pathways for young people to build confidence, resilience, discipline, and purpose through boxing.
From the beginning, we intentionally designed Tu Lucha to be grassroots and community-driven. We partner with local boxing gyms, coaches, and mentors who are already making a difference every day. We believe lasting change happens at the community level, where relationships are built, trust is earned, and young people are known by name.
Through Tu Lucha RISING powered by your donation, we help community boxing gyms open their doors to youths at no cost, providing mentorship, belonging, and the opportunity to grow.
Tu Lucha PRO support athletes who embody the values of Tu Lucha: perseverance, discipline, and service. Tu Lucha Pro boxers inspire the next generation and give back to the communities that helped shape them.
